A holiday note from Z-Blue

December 19, 2010

Yeah, I'm one lucky girl.

Feliz Navidad! Merry Christmas! Happy holidays!

I am currently chilling out on the greatest beach ever in Mexico. In the last week, I’ve:

1) boated with dolphins (see photo!)

2) filmed a YouTube lipdub video with a large group of gringo senior citizens

3) done yoga every morning

4)  ordered all the Mexican food my happy stomach can take

5) made cheese and chile tamales from scratch (yeah, I’m awesome)

6) written a couple of papers for school (yeah … grad school)

7) read through two entire Maya Angelous and Jhumpa Lahiri books

8) slept like a kid (bedtime at 9:00?? really??)

9) taken enough photos to crowd out my 4 GB memory card

10) swam in the Sea of Cortez … every morning.

And when I get back in just over a week? I take my first road trip with Luka, on route to creating my very next “Adventures with Luka” blog post. :)

Wow now that’s a pretty full week. As an adult I can’t remember the last time I went to bed at 9, but often wish that I could.

    Ahhh Vacation, enjoy!!

I’d recommend it, but only when you’re traveling to remote places where the nights are dark and there is NO INTERNET. ;)

Seriously, if you can, try it out sometime. It feels better than nearly anything else you can do for your body. Happy holidays to you too, Bob!

Oh I am so effing jealous.

I imagine your mornings like this:

    1. Wake up at sunrise

    2. Practice yoga

    3. Swim in ocean. With dolphins.

    4. Eat amazing fruit, etc for breakfast

    Yep. I hate you.

It was pretty effing awesome, that’s for sure. No worries, I’m now back in frigid southern California where I get to swim in a chlorinated pool, wake up when my alarm does, and eat way too much bad food. ;)

      Happy New Year, Nikki!

I haven’t done much traveling to Mexico, but after reading this, I almost kind of want to. Almost.

awesome :) and to think i coulda been there.. ;) but being holed up in a cozy cabin, with a wood-burning oven/stove, misty mountains, and more peace and quiet with books galore than i can handle isn’t too shabby either.. :) get a tan for me!!
